Questions about plans
What counts as a word?
Words the AI writes for you: edits, review notes and answers. Chinese and Japanese count by character, English and Spanish by word. Your own typing never counts.
What happens after the 1,000 free words?
AI editing pauses until you get Pro. Writing, saving and export keep working on every plan, for good.
Can I get my money back?
Yes. Within 14 days of paying, or of a renewal, write to us and we refund the full amount. Once per person.
Why is it so cheap?
Editing doesn’t need the most expensive model for every sentence. We built Blue Pencil to be efficient and pass that on. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t train AI on your writing.
Is unlimited really unlimited?
Yes, for your own writing. Heavy use stays well under 100,000 words a month; if an account keeps going past a million words a month, we get in touch first. Automated use, reselling and sharing one account are not allowed.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from your plan page. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. A year paid as a one-time payment simply ends; nothing renews.
Which AI model is it?
You don’t pick one. Blue Pencil handles that, and we keep improving it.
